Digilin’s first lighting systems were developed for Queensland Rail. These were quite sophisticated signalling systems using the most advanced lighting components available in the era. A combination of custom electronics, LED, fibre optic cables, halogen lightsources and specialised lensing were designed and assembled by Digilin. The system was relied upon to deliver critical signals to train drivers along the entire QLD rail network. It also provided a significantly safer environment for signalling technicians who could maintain these systems from a relatively safe distance to passing trains.

This exciting time in Australian history paved the way for future innovations. With the success of the QLD rail systems, Digilin was inspired to create new lighting systems suitable for other markets and industries.
