The driving force behind Digilin's world-class star ceilings, landscaping and public art fibre optic systems, Titan is a high output (up to 90W) fibre optic lightsource that is capable of producing a variety of unique light effects. Controllable using DALI, DMX or a toggle switch, these effects are achieved through combinations of scintillation, colour and dual colour wheels, which randomly cut and colour the light output from the LED before it reaches the cables, creating dazzling twinkle and glow effects.
A breakthrough in fibre optic lighting technology, Titan uses a revolutionary collimating optical lens design to inject the massive light output created by its LED COB into fibre optic cables with precision, resulting in minimal losses and maximum efficiency. These end-lit or side-lit fibre cables then transfer the light to the target destination. Drawing on the multi-disciplinary engineering capabilities of Digilin, the lightsource uses a dual liquid and fan cooling system for heat regulation of its quality LED COB (L90(10K) > 60,500hrs), ensuring optimal performance and longevity.
Digilin has been developing fibre optic lightsources since the 1980s, during a time when metal halide was the standard. Since then we have seen the declining prevalence of fibre optic lighting technology firsthand as LED became the preferred method for realising decorative lighting designs. Titan's incredible efficiency and significant light output has not only opened up enormous design possibilities that were never before feasible, it has also enabled fibre optic lighting systems to reclaim some of those applications that are now exclusively illuminated by LED fixtures.
