Mooloolaba TAFE Cybersecurity Training Centre is one of a series of high-tech training centres created under the Queensland Government’s $100 million ‘Equipping TAFE for our Future’ initiative. Working in partnership with Luxson Illumination, Digilin manufactured lighting and control products for each of the Mooloolaba, Cairns and Southbank TAFE Cybersecurity training centres.
Powered by Digilin’s in-house manufactured CV DALI Drivers, the primary lighting systems at the Mooloolaba centre are composed of UpDown linear systems configured with the direct output in fixed white and the indirect output in RGB. These centres employ the RGB output to separate and immerse teams during practical simulations of the various aspects of cyber warfare. For example, one classroom is illuminated in red, symbolizing the defense team, while the other in blue light, representing the attack team. This visual distinction aids in practical exercises, fostering a dynamic and immersive learning environment. These lighting systems are also engaged during interstate training sessions where the various training centres based across Queensland also come together to collaborate and participate in group scenarios.
