Taipan is a robust, versatile exterior luminaire developed for urban streetscapes and landscaping applications. The fixture is fully submersible and extremely durable, with IP68 and IK10 ratings. With a core body of only 35mm, this recessed version is an ideal solution for where a small but powerful in-ground uplight or wall-recessed luminaire is required.

Available with a range of lenses from spot to wide, as well as a medium oval (14°x40°) and a frosted diffuser, the Taipan can be configured to achieve a multitude of light effects. The RGB version and fixed colour outputs offer further capacity for fulfilling creative designs.

Created specifically for applications where a flush finish is required on sheet or panel materials, a threaded head and lock ring version is available for simple installation and is suitable for mounting to steel, aluminium, plastics and timbers. The wide flange (70mm) with screw hole version allows simple installation in situations where access to behind the mounting surface is limited. A 400mm sleeve adaptor is available for the standard recessed version for set out and installation.

Ever since the fixture was developed in 2001, Taipan's marine-grade 316 stainless steel body has been machined locally in Brisbane. Over the years we've been updating its electrical components, achieving higher lumen outputs while using less power and developing further optical options, but its press-fit body design is so perfect we haven't even considered revising it.

This product is part of the extensive Taipan family, offering 15 different body types ranging from adjustable spots, to wall-mounted uplights and dedicated pool luminaires versions, enabling designers to bring the unique features of this durable fixture to an almost limitless range of installation locations.

Taipan operates using constant current if configured as dimmable, whereas the non-dimmable configuration is constant voltage. The non-dimmable constant voltage versions have an in-built sensor and self-regulating voltage function, ensuring consistent light outputs across multiple fixtures in extended runs, nullifying the impact of voltage drop on illumination outcomes.
