Taipan Eyelid is a robust, versatile exterior luminaire with a glare-controlling eyelid developed for urban streetscapes and landscaping applications. The fixture is fully submersible and extremely durable, with IP68 and IK10 ratings. With a core body of only 35mm, installed as a semi-recessed luminaire in stairwells, walkways and exterior landscaped areas, Taipan Eyelid is perfectly suited for pedestrian applications where safe movement is critical.

The RGB version and fixed colour outputs offer further capacity for fulfilling creative designs.

Ever since the fixture was developed in 2001, Taipan's marine-grade 316 stainless steel body has been machined locally in Brisbane. Over the years we've been updating its electrical components, achieving higher lumen outputs while using less power and developing further optical options, but its press-fit body design is so perfect we haven't even considered revising it.

This product is part of the extensive Taipan series, offering 15 different body types ranging from adjustable spots, to wall-mounted uplights and dedicated pool luminaires versions, enabling designers to bring the unique features of this durable fixture to an almost limitless range of installation locations.

Taipan Eyelid operates using constant current if configured as dimmable, whereas the non-dimmable configuration is constant voltage. The non-dimmable constant voltage versions have an in-built sensor and self-regulating voltage function, ensuring consistent light outputs across multiple fixtures in extended runs, nullifying the impact of voltage drop on illumination outcomes.

A 400mm sleeve adaptor is available for set out and installation.
